Fifty years of marriage celebrated with a beautiful Hawaii vow renewal ceremony on a gorgeous Hawaiian day on the sands of Waialae Beach. December 29, 2016, distinguished couple Fusako and Hirohisa Niizumi of Japan were to celebrate their “Golden Anniversary” status by having a Hawaii vow renewal. With all their family members present, Fusako ad Hirohisa’s wonderful children (who resides in the U.S) planned this special event for their parents. A vow renewal or the participation of Hawaii vow renewal is rather unusual for couples from Japan. This custom is highly popular in America especially in Hawaii. The limousine arrival of this fine couple was captured by our film crew to document their special ceremony. Dressed casually but looking very sophisticated, this couple happily strolled together to meet the Rev. Michael Nelson. Fusako received a beautiful french bouquet with tropical flowers. A matching boutonniere was presented to Hirohisa. He is one who sincerely smiles with brilliance. This Hawaii vow renewal was done in both English and Japanese language combined with some traditional Hawaiian prayer. A meaningful ceremony commemorating fifty years of happy marriage with a Hawaii vow renewal flair, by Rev. Mike Nelson. The stage was set with loved ones, grand children gathering around in the sand. Fusako and Hirohisa cross the bridge and strolls down the aisle arm in arm smiling happily at their family. Bowing is a custom of Japan, with the couple bowing and in return minister bows. The sound of the conch, the prayer, the exchange of flower leis as traditionally Hawaiian. The vow exchange is in Japanese language. English language completes the ceremony renewing the marriage of Fusako and Hirohisa Niizumi to everyone. The beautiful video presentation and photo coverage will forever seal the celebration of the golden anniversary of the Niizumi family. Congratulations and Mahalo, Maiko Niizumi and husband for choosing us and Mahalo for your generosity.
