What a happy Hawaiian day it was for celebration of gay Hawaii weddings on the beautiful sparkling beaches of Hawaii. January 20, 2017, love ones gathered for the wedding ceremony of John Svikhart and David Dornfeld of Atlantic Highlands in New Jersey. They have been together as best friends and sharing blissful love and life together for twenty nine years. A marriage long time coming for them. Hawaii gay weddings are growing since it became legal. Before then, many came to enjoy Hawaii weddings, to have a commitment ceremony only. We welcome all gay Hawaii weddings as well as any persons who desire to get married in Hawaii. John and David arrived on a white limousine together with their love ones. They are of Jewish faith and we incorporated some Jewish customs as desired. Reverend Karen Mak officiated, a romantic and sweet Hawaiian ceremony the couple and friends thoroughly enjoyed. They gave each guest and ceremony participant a brown kukui nut lei and white orchid leis as a Aloha and Mahalo gift for their support . Rev. Mak greeted everyone with a hearty ALOHA, to begin this special moment for John and David to become one. A beautiful day at Waialae Beach Park, standing in the sand with a beautiful scenic background of the beach, sparkling ocean/waves and Koko head, a majestic backdrop. Two separate readings were said by their love ones, rings and flowers were blessed. A Hawaiian sand ceremony to mix their lives. The exchange of love rings and leis of Aloha. Finally, their Jewish custom of crushing wrapped bottles with their foot. Finally legal, the union long awaited, John and David. Fond memories of gay Hawaii weddings. Congratulations, guys, enjoy your honeymoon and the memories in photographs you have received. Mahalo nui loa!
